What a lesson looks like

The class has a plan, interactive tasks, and conversation. We put the new material to use in speech.

  • Preparation

I gather material for your level and goal. I do not open a coursebook at a random page.

  • Interactive work

A presentation and exercises so new vocabulary and grammar show up in a clear context.

  • Speaking

We use what we just studied in real situations: work, travel, everyday topics.

  • What comes next

After a few lessons it is clear what is sticking and what still needs repetition. The next block of classes comes from that.

Where the material comes from

I use a Cambridge approach and Oxford and Cambridge coursebooks. I also bring in articles, videos, and podcasts.

A personal plan

The plan starts after the trial: your level, your goal, and how you respond to the format. We treat it as a working guide and can shift it.
