Who the lessons are for and where you can start

I teach adults at every level. I plan the lessons around what you already know and what you need English for.

Starting from zero
If you are new to English or have not used it for years, we start with the basics and simple conversation.
You understand but do not speak
If you understand English but rarely speak it, the lessons give you more time to practise conversation.
English for work
Email, calls, meetings, and presentations. We work through the situations you actually run into.
Travel and relocation
Everyday situations, paperwork, and talking to people once you are there. We prepare for what is ahead.

Do you understand English but still struggle to speak?

  • Do you take so long to build a sentence that you lose your train of thought?
  • Can you follow a familiar text but lose track when listening to someone speak?
  • Do the words you studied disappear when you need them?

This often happens when most of your English practice takes place in exercises rather than conversation.

You may know the rule and recognise the word, yet still struggle to use either in real time.

We start speaking in the lesson

First we make the material clear, then use it in conversation while it is still fresh.

What a lesson looks like

Each lesson has a clear goal and structure. I choose material for your level and needs, explain new language in context, and leave time to speak. The material does not stay on the page.

A short introduction

  1. 01

    Preparation

I choose material for your level, goal, and what we have already covered.

  2. 02

    New language in context

Vocabulary and grammar come through clear examples rather than a list of rules.

  3. 03

    Use it in conversation

We put the material into conversations about work, travel, or everyday situations.

  4. 04

    Adjust the plan

We look at what is working, what needs another pass, and where to focus next.

What we work on

  • Building sentences with fewer long pauses
  • Following spoken English more easily
  • Bringing new vocabulary into active use
  • English for work, travel, relocation, and ordinary life
  • Knowing what is improving and what to work on next

What happens in the trial

In 30 minutes, we meet, find your starting point, and see whether my lesson format suits you. I send the link to your email.

  • Your starting point

We talk briefly so I can understand your current level without a long placement test.

  • What you need English for

We discuss where you use English and what currently gets in the way.

  • A real taste of the lesson

You try the tasks and speaking practice instead of only hearing about the method.

  • The next step

If the format suits you, we decide what to focus on first in regular lessons.
